Cynthia Messick

Cinthya Messick is an instructor with RenderSafe Training and consulting Workplace Violence Prevention program. Cinthya was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico. She migrated to the United States when she was just a baby. She comes from a migrant family who have worked in agriculture all their lives. Cinthya’s first language is Spanish. She attended a public school, where English became her second language. Cinthya Graduated from the California State University, Fresno with a Criminology Degree with an emphasis in Law Enforcement and a certificate in Victimology. While at Fresno state she did an internship with the Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC). Cinthya Messick began her career with the Sheriff’s Office on April 25, 2005, as a Correctional Officer I. Throughout her career; she has been assigned to various positions in the jail operations bureau, such as the Mail Room, Classification as a gang officer, Transportation, The Transition from Jail to Community (TJC) unit, Jail Training Officer, and Honor Guard. On November 09, 2015, Cinthya Messick gratefully accepted her promotion as a Correctional Sergeant. During her tenure she has supervised all three jails and numerous Correctional Officers. In May 2020, she was selected as the Correctional Training Sergeant. As the Training Sergeant she is responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting, and maintaining initial and continual training for all Correctional Officers. During her time in the Training Unit, she has obtained certifications in the following areas:
