Workplace Violence Prevention Program

Plan | Prepare | Execute

On September 20, 2023, Governor Gavin Newsom signed into law, Senate Bill 553, which requires California employers to have Workplace Violence Prevention Plans and training for their employees (California Labor Code Section 6401.9), which becomes effective July 1, 2024.

RenderSafe Training and Consulting's team of instructors are law enforcement professionals who have the experience of providing active shooter response training to schools and workplaces.  The team is well versed  on current events, the four types of workplace violence, targeted violence prevention, and the recognition of pre-attack warning indicators of those engaging in targeted violence.

Through the direct delivery of this interactive presentation, you will:

  • Develop an understanding of the 4 types of workplace violence along with mitigation and response strategies for each

  • Be better prepared to survive an incident involving targeted violence

  • Integrate workplace violence prevention training with your company Workplace Violence Prevention Plan.

  • Understand the concepts of planning, preparing, and practicing your response plan, so that if or when an incident occurs, you will be able to carry out your plan.

The Workplace Violence Prevention module can be delivered in about 2 hours at your worksite and is SB 553 Compliant.

Supplemental training that can be added on or separate:

  • Pre-attack warning behaviors and threat assessment & management teams can be added upon request.

  • Defusing, Mediating, and Resolving Disputes

We also offer a Train the Trainer(TtT) class so your employees can teach the Workplace Violence Prevention Program.
